Jaimie Atkins has been practicing as a clinical speech-language pathologist in a school setting for over 10 years. She received her bachelor's degree in English and Linguistics from the University of Toronto, and went on to receive her speech-language pathology degree from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta. She was born and raised in Moose Jaw, and lives here with family.
Jaimie has enjoyed working with students who have a wide range of communication challenges, and collaboration with families is always a highlight of her job! Special interests include working with children who are on the autism spectrum, and children with severe speech sound disorders.
Vocal health is another area of special interest for Jaimie. She performs locally with the folk band, Sweet Saturday, and she will be looking for opportunities to further specialize in voice use in her private practice.
